My story

When my husband, Elmo (our Dachshund) and I moved to the gorgeous coastal town of Whitstable I discovered SUP (Stand Up Paddleboarding) and was instantly and totally hooked. Elmo loves to come with me too although he's not usually allowed on the lessons!

SUP is the nearest thing to walking on water. It can be meditative and go hand in hand with yoga or it can be aerobic and exhilarating. It's more gentle on your body than running and exercises every part of you from your brain to your toes! Most of all it's FUN! It's the best way to see Whitstable town with its harbour, sunsets, oyster beds and beach huts.

I am passionate about the sea and its sustainability. I'm always picking up litter, often coming back from a paddle with everything from polystyrene blocks to helium balloons. I have even brought back a tent!

I have done hundreds of hours of paddling, do regular training days and have lessons with other teachers, and am well qualified to teach you - as well as being fully insured. I believe in teaching people slowly, calmly and in offering an opportunity to learn the best technique. All my equipment is regularly tested, replaced and cleaned.
